Vandalism ‘could put off potential park investors’

By Mike Lewis in Crime

VANDALS who targeted a children’s play area in Goodwick have “betrayed” the entire community, an angry councillor has said.

And the incident has thrown the bid for funds to revamp local parks into question.

Goodwick county councillor Gwilym Price has hit out after louts attacked the pirate ship at the play area on the Parrog last week – the second time the popular attraction has been damaged in recent months.

Pembrokeshire council officers who forked out £700 to fix the ship last time are now bracing themselves for a new repair bill after the vessel’s anchor and sail were broken off.

It is understood that the missing items have been recovered and officers are now seeking to establish whether they can be reinstated.
