Sea Cadets win first aid competition

By County Echo Reporter in Local People

Fishguard Sea Cadets have won the West Wales District First Aid Competition held at Port Talbot on 2 April.

This is only the second time the unit has entered, having first entered last year, coming fifth.

A spokesperson said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the unit and to win in our second year of entry clearly demonstrates the importance that we place on first aid training and awareness. We would also like to thank PO Callard for training the team.”

Commanding Officer Chris Peake added: “This is a fantastic achievement and we are very proud of the cadets. Unfortunately this year there is no Tri Service event to progress to, but we will be targeting this for 2018.”

This week’s County Echo is out in shops now.
