Sponsorship deal for Pembs cricket

THE Thomas Carroll Group have been announced as the new sponsors of the Pembroke County Cricket League, after agreeing an initial three-year sponsorship deal with the committee.

Announcing the new sponsorship agreement, Stephen Blowes, honorary secretary of the Pembroke County Cricket Club commented: “It is very important for cricket throughout Wales that the game is supported at community level.

“Thomas Carroll’s sponsorship is fantastic for Pembrokeshire and will help encourage the grass roots development of the game.”

Simon Lawrence, Branch Director at Thomas Carroll’s Haverfordwest office, said: “Thomas Carroll have enjoyed supporting Welsh cricket for years; it is all about putting something back into the local communities that have been so loyal to us. We are excited to expand our sponsorship with the Pembroke County Cricket League, which we have been a keen partner with since opening our Haverfordwest office in 2013.

“We are looking forward to working with the clubs, members and local talent this season.”

John Moore MBE, Chairman at Thomas Carroll Group has a Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedication to cricket in Wales. The award was granted in 2013 by the sport’s governing body, Cricket Wales. Thomas Carroll currently sponsor the South Wales Premier League.

This weekend’s fixtures: Saturday, 6 May: Division One: Haverfordwest v Whitland; Kilgetty v Johnston; Neyland v Lawrenny; Pembroke v Carew; St Ishmaels v Cresselly. Division Two: Carew II v Narberth; Llangwm v Burton; Llechryd v Llanrhian; Stackpole v Haverfordwest II; Whitland Seconds v Saundersfoot.
