Crymych maintain their unbeaten record

CRYMYCH, flying high in division four, kept their unbeaten record intact after they accounted for Hundleton by three wickets at Glandycross, with Richard Thorne imperious with the bat again.

The visitors had posted a decent total of 158 for 8, with Jonathan Williams (51), Mark Williams (24) and Paul Edwards (19) the main run getters for Hundleton. Ioan Davies returned 3 wickets for 33.

In reply, Thorne, who had blasted his way to 165 the previous week, produced another superb knock of 66, and Rhodri Thomas also shone as he hit five boundaries during his innings of 38, to steer the Preseli men home on 159 for 7.

• Llechryd Seconds went down by 67 runs to Burton Seconds, who posted a challenging total of 161 thanks to contributions from Gavin Campbell (36), Ian Betterley (28) and Colin Picton (27). Andrew Fletcher took 3 for 27, Joe Mansfield 2 for 30 and Malcolm McHugh 2 for 21.

In reply, Fletcher made 21 but apart from tail-ender Steve Harding who made 32, runs were scarce as Daniel Ridge returned 4 for 9 to dismiss the hosts for 97.

Division Four West Results: Crymych (159-7) beat Hundleton (158-8) by 3 wkts; Kilgetty II (160) lost to Hook II (162-2) by 8 wkts; Llechryd II (94) lost to Burton II (161-9) by 67 runs; Pembroke II (83) lost to Saundersfoot II (121) by 38 runs; St Ishmaels II (88) lost to Narberth II (89-8) by 2 wkts.
