Runners finish epic 54-mile marathon

FOUR Cardigan Running Club members have completed the 2017 Comrades Marathon in South Africa.

This gruelling race which begins from the City Hall in Durban and ends 54 miles away in Pietermaritzburg is one of the toughest endurance events in the World.

All four local runners finished below the final cut off time of 12 hours for a medal.

Heddwyn Evans completed his run in a time of 8:54:23, Andrew Toft came home in 10:45:42, Clive Evans 11:04:51 and Eurwyn Penlan Davies made it in the nick of time with 11:50:19.
